Hi there, I’m A.J. A 30 something year old still figuring out life. I do not yet know the purpose of me owning my own website yet. But I do know for sure that I want my photos to live in their own space on the internet, far from meta’s or google’s servers, feeding into the algorithmic frenzy and monetized into oblivion. I will be updating this block as I figure things out slowly. If you come across my pictures and like them, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Photography got my interest ever since I got hold of a Nikon D3200 over a decade and half ago. You must be wondering why does this photo gallery look amateurish if this person has been shooting since 2012? Life got in the way, and I never really spent mucvh time perfecting my skills. Back then, I shot a bunch of photos that were mediocre at best (there were some gems in there, though.) and never saved the RAWs. Well, in 2026, I decided to change that. This gallery should serve as a documentation of my journey from someone who takes photos to someone who captures moments that tell a story. I don’t wanna take photos, I wanna make art.
And yes, you will be seeing a bunch of field notes as the title suggests, and birbs. A bunch of birb photos as I capture them.
On the side, I do science for a living. Molecular biology, genetics, stem cells and things like that. Maybve I’ll make a post or two about that too.
